WOW-Story

"I created an innovative service that didn't exist before."

Fatma El Bouzakhi is the founder and CEO of Kids Ride, a private transportation and accompaniment for children. She also runs a warm and welcoming micro-crèche with her daughter for the past seven years, called "Au mille et un Pas," inspired by eco-friendly and organic principles.

"I want to inspire and give hope to women."

Many women today are afraid to start their own businesses. I am proof that anything is possible, despite my initial lack of confidence and numerous personal barriers. I took risks and experienced challenges that made me stronger. I want to share my journey with women and young people to encourage and motivate them.

"My mother is the person I love the most."

I never had a female role model growing up, except for my mother. Looking back, I realize how much that shaped me.  I wanted to be the best mother and wife because I identified with her. Subconsciously, she represented the ideal woman for me. But I never had a professional female role model.

"I am proud of myself and what I have accomplished from scratch."

My children—they are my driving force and the reason behind everything I do. I want to be a role model for them and see them achieve even more than I have. I am proud of the life I built for my family. I used to live in social housing near the Sonian Forest. I was happy but in my comfort zone. I could have stayed there for years, but I decided to change everything. Today, I own my house with a large garden and a new car, all thanks to my business.

"Believing in my ability to change my life at 44 was my best investment."

I left my role as a stay-at-home mom to train as a childcare provider. This decision not only gave me a new skill but also allowed me to build a business that profoundly impacted my life and the lives of many families. A concrete example: transforming part of my home into a trusted space for families with my micro-crèche. This investment led to the creation of Kids Ride, further meeting a crucial community need.

"You need to promote yourself, meet potential clients, and make your business known."

I was surprised by the highly competitive yet supportive entrepreneurial world. I had many fears at the beginning: fear of judgment, fear of not having clients, and fear of rejection due to my origins and veil. But I realized the real barrier was myself. Overcoming these self-imposed limitations was a transformative experience.
