How did we Create & Elevate?

On Monday, June 12th, Generation WOW brought together over 900 women in business for an exciting conference day. On stage, experts such as Bobbi Brown, Elodie Ouédraogo, Steffi Vertriest, and many others shared business tips through their inspiring stories. They discussed the meaning of creativity, how to build a business where you bring together a community, and how to go the extra mile in everything you do.

Throughout the event, attendees could enjoy innovative experiences from upcoming brands and delicious food & drinks both on and off the stage, all under the radiant Ostend sun.

Elodie Ouédraogo

TV host and co-founder of Unrun

Elodie Ouedraogo spoke about elite sports as a career and life afterwards. In 2008, she won a gold medal at the Olympic Games with her team. Her sports career influenced her personally and in business, leading her to launch her own sports label, Unrun, with Olivia Borlée. Elodie knows better than anyone how to reinvent oneself continuously and how to compare elite sports with entrepreneurship.

Because when people feel happy and healthy in the workplace, they are more productive and creative.

Véronique Bockstal

Founder and owner of Outgrow

After working as a consultant for 20 years, she stepped out of her comfort zone to start her own company, Outgrow - a company that provides individual guidance to entrepreneurs on their growth path. Véronique is also the author of the book 'The One Million Pound Woman'. In this book, she focuses on female entrepreneurs who have the ambition to push their turnover to a million. In this way, she aims to inspire women in business to pursue their dreams in a concrete manner.

Delphine Heenen is the inspiring woman behind KickCancer. When her oldest son was diagnosed with cancer, she quickly discovered that research into childhood cancer was still in its infancy. Determined to make a difference, Delphine decided to quit her job and found KickCancer. At the Create & Elevate Conference, Delphine participated in a panel discussion alongside other women in business.

Head of Culture at Belfius

Bénédicte Bouton is the Head of Culture at Belfius and Curator of the Belfius Art Collection. Live on stage, she told us how companies can use art and creativity to elevate their business to a higher level.

Ilse Roosens

Curator of contemporary art at Mu.ZEE

Ilse reflected on the importance of creative communication for companies aiming to convey a strong societal vision. The project "Meet Anna & The Artists," which brings together the Impressionist artist Anna Boch with contemporary artist-collectors, is a beautiful example of this. Generation WOW realised this project in collaboration with Mu.ZEE, and live on stage, you could expect a preview of this video series.

Zuhal Demir

Minister for Justice and Enforcement, Environment, Energy, and Tourism

As Minister for Tourism, Zuhal Demir recognises the importance of culture and creativity for society.

During the panel, she aims to educate other women in business, not only as a representative but also as a woman with a migrant background, on the importance of elevating not only oneself but also others to a higher level.

As a respected journalist and newly appointed editor-in-chief of Feeling Magazine, Els Keymeulen understands the importance of compelling and inspiring stories in shaping one's career.
